You’re invited to participate each Sunday at 6:00pm to take time to fast and pray. A time to deliberately set aside food in order to focus attention on our need for God’s intervention. If you have medial issues that prevent you from fasting, you must not feel pressured to participate in this. Here are a few steps that might be helpful . . .
- Try to set aside up to 30 minutes for this prayer time. No time limit or minimum matters
- Begin by reading a psalm and spending a few minutes reflecting on its message. However, prayer times sometimes turn into 20 minutes of chat and 5 minutes of prayer, so limit discussion
- Pray out loud or silently, asking God to expand the work of his Kingdom in your life, your family, your church, our International Workers, your community and work, our governments and leaders, and other needs.
