Rehearsals for our 2024 Kids Christmas Musical – Straight Outta Bethlehem, will begin Thursday, September 12th from 3:15 – 5pm and will run weekly until November 28th. Performances will be November 29th in the evening and the afternoon of November 30th. This is Cranbrook’s only community-wide kids Christmas program and is open to all kids in Kindergarten and up!
Straight Outta Bethlehem is reminder that God is always with us and we don’t ever have to be alone!
Starr and the spunky orphans live at the Inn of Bethlehem, serving at the inn and stable. Gertie and John Luke work in the stable, directing an incredible animal choir called “From Farm to Stable.” But they all soon realize that it is no ordinary day. They meet Mary, Joseph, and some crazy ‘70s Disco Shepherds who tell them of extraordinary dreams! But Blake, the newest orphan at the inn, is skeptical of everyone, stating that he only is staying long enough to earn money to get “straight outta Bethlehem.” But as the night culminates with a special Baby born in the stable, Blake learns that God has not forgotten him, and he offers his own life as a gift at the manger.
