I am Mike Swan and I love to hike, so I want to plan some hikes for those who are interested. These hikes are open to all who want to come and feel that they are able to safely complete the planned hike. For every hike I will give a trail description which will include distance, elevation gain, road and trail conditions. Things like road and trail conditions, weather and other unforeseen occurrences will always be present and dealt with on an ongoing basis. I am planning one hike per month always on a Saturday and starting in May. My hikes will start off being easier as we wait for the snow to melt and trail conditions higher up to improve.
My tentative 2023 schedule:
1) May 27 – Lone Butte – Wycliffe
2) June 17 – Yankee, Canuck and Turtle Lakes – Premier Lake Provincial Park
3) July 22 – Tanglefoot Lake – Maus Creek FSR
4) August 19 – Maus Creek Ridge – Maus Creek FSR ** Cancelled **
5) September 16 – Upper Hourglass – Meachen Creek FSR – ** Cancelled **
Prior to each hike emails will be sent out confirming the hike, giving a trail description and any relevant current conditions. These emails will come from the church and/or from myself if you want to be on a”Hike With Mike” email list. Scroll down to see photos of past hikes!
